Last weekend, I was fortunate enough to be asked to model for a talented jewelry maker here in Bend; Emily Gibbons Jewelry. After the first photo, the photographer Toni asked me what I was thinking about. I told her I was trying to remember that I'm home in the Badlands. I think what I meant was, I felt a little out of place in my shiny boots, makeup, and white silky dress. Growing up in the desert, I was a tomboy covered in moon dust inside my juniper tree forts.
Even so, I still felt beautiful and fortunate. But a little silly. I embraced it and loved every moment. This photo encapsulates the feeling I had in that moment––a little high maintenance but fabulous in a gorgeous setting.
Stay tuned for photos!
